Gotta come up with some great propaganda in order to keep arm chair #neocons engaged in perpetual war.

Agreed. It does drag a bit. I was raised on the real time video of the first gulf war on the nightly news. Spoiled me.

Alleged Javelin strike on Russian T-90 tank. They could avoid this sort of thing by going back to Russia.

I am a deal maker by nature. I might trade my top running back before the fantasy season even starts, for example.

So, I am ready to trade a LOT to keep the Russian death count rising. You want prayer in schools? Fine, I don’t like it at all, but if it gets me more dead Russians then all the better. Want to drill for oil in the middle of Yosemite? OK, how many missiles does that get me? Gay marriages? I am partial to gay marriage, but consider it gone as long as we can get like a bagillion Apache attack choppers to Kiev ASAP.

I keep thinking about what Patton said during the Battle of the Bulge, about the Germans in a meat grinder and he had his hands on the handle. The West basically has a once in a lifetime opportunity to collapse the Russian military, and they handed it to us. I just wish it was not happening in Ukraine.

yeah, I don't think we will ever understand why putin did this for the US but our brass does not intend on letting it slip.

Does he think he can hold on in hopes that trump might win?

I thought he did it because Biden and NATO forced him to do it?

Thought this was interesting:

Quote
The Russians do not seem to be that good at this kind of war, but you can bet they will try to change that. What the Yooks are doing is integrating tactical drones and precision artillery with US satellite data, which is levels above what the Russians have.

This gives them a battlefield view that is both precise and deadly. In addition, they can better plan their logistics for a battle, and can stunt the Russian supply lines. They are playing electronic warfare very well, both from data acquisition and forward combat implementations.

It is almost making-up for a lack of heavies, such as main battle tanks to break Russian lines. So, they use spit and string and high technology and….planning the enemy’s mistakes to keep things on an even keel.

By “last” you mean…

The war in Ukraine. Mils will be planning for that, which by the time those plans are implemented, it will be the “last” war, or at least we hope so. It is hard to plan for a future war that is devoid of the events of the last one. But, it seems here the US had done that pretty well, compared to the Russians anyway.

The Yooks are getting positional info on company level elements. I ask them where it comes from, they just smile. They know as well as I do it is from satellite overflights, comm intercepts and humint stuff.

Only against the Russians. I am not an equal opportunity war monger. I am exceptionally biased.

Those Europeans may never thank us for the fact that they don’t know how to speak Russian, just like they don’t thank us for not knowing German…but we will know Son of Dax Jones. We will know.

Will your average French housewife look at their whisper quiet Bosch dryer as it efficiently dries their children's black and white striped shirts and berets and thank Uncle Sam that the machine isn't strapped to the back of a blacked out pedophile's BTR?

No, unlikly.  But here in the promised land we will sleep well knowing that the french can effectively launder their white gloves and red scarves under the blanket of home appliance freedom we provide.

Do you think Sklaer will think of our Javelins when he pulls an ice cold herstelbiertje out of his refrigerator that wasn't looted by a roaring drunk convict employed by Wagner?

unlikely but those of us who are paying attention will know.

~14k Ukrainian civilian casualties thus far. Over 5,700 dead, 372 of them children.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.
