The current version of SteveDave in the pit absolutely blows.

Just #blueanon talking point regurgitation.

I know it's futile, but dax do you really think Russia is justified in invading Ukraine?  Even if I grant that the US is The Evil Empire, why support this invasion?

So talking about the reasons why this happening is supporting it?

It's just laughable that the United States/NATO is trying to extricate itself out of culpability in creating the atmosphere for this military operation to be occurring.

What the United States and NATO have done is tantamount to the Chinese installing puppet government(s) in Mexico and then asking that government to join a military alliance with China, where the Mexican military and Mexican militias (the cartels) would be trained by the Chinese military . . . which would ultimately lead to Chinese forces being stationed in Mexico and Chinese ABM systems being installed in Mexico, which based on the formula, is exactly what would have happened in the Ukraine had they joined NATO.

Keep in mind, Obama BFF to Vlad Putin stopped the U.S. ABM system deployment to Poland based on some amazing   about Iran only seeking short ranged missile systems.

The Russians said some mean things and Barrack "no lethal aid to Ukraine" Obama immediately backed down.

But that rough ridin' Trump!

Putin takes Crimea under Obama - Point man on Ukraine - Joe Biden:  Biden Family Inc up to its eyelids in corrupt Ukrainian businesses (while the Obama administration installed a government in Ukraine while supporting Neo-Nazi militias)

Putin attacking Russia while Biden is President.

#blueanonGe's only response:  That rough ridin' Trump

eff off Spracs.  Your political movement has attempted to offload this on to Trump.

Joe Biden has been in office for over a year.

Did the US and NATO help the Ukraine upgrade its air defenses during that time?  No.   Did our alleged ally Germany provide any lethal assistance to Ukraine? No.  But they’ve pumped billions into Vlad Putin’s pockets.

US Military assistance to the Ukraine is calculated in the hundreds of millions and doesn’t get into the billions until you calculate it over 8 years.  US weapons sales to Middle East countries are calculated in the tens of billions of dollars at a time.   Oh, but #blueanon political leaders are super mad!

Barack Obama refused to provide any lethal aid to Ukraine.

Did Biden take sanctions off of Nordstream 2?  Yes. Did Democrats block reimposing sanctions on Nordstream 2 over a month ago?  Yes.

Biden Family Inc has been all up in the bowels of corruption in Ukraine.  Do I need to replay the recordings of our State Department  installing a corrupt puppet government in Ukraine in 2014?  The Ayatollah John Kerry was SOS, BTW.

The list of US complicity, meddling, failure  and corruption in the Ukraine goes on for days with Democrats leading the way in the vast majority if not all of it.   Dems were terrified that their role in the corruption and meddling in Ukraine would be exposed so they tried to impeach Trump over it.   Certain Dems didn’t want anyone following the money trail of US Aid to the Ukraine and where it ended up.

The Biden administrations flaccid assistance to the Ukraine indicates to some they want Zelensky et al gone.

But as usual #blueanon just won’t own it.

Part of me is kind of in favor of nuking Russia. Humans have had a terrible run. Might as well end it with wiping the grin off Putin’s face. In a million years or so, this planet would be good as new and no more troublesome humans.

Dax in the pit: Godwin's law! Godwin's law! Godwin's law!

Putin: We want to de-Nazify Ukraine.
Dax: Well, that makes sense.

he's not suicidal yet imo.

kyle bass of all people was just on cnbc and made some good points about the fall of the soviet union being due to a slow strangulation of them primarily driven by $10 oil. All these sanctions are a short play but ultimately green energy expansion or pump baby pump policies (or both in different areas or whatever) would cripple their economy pretty quickly. china buying wheat from them isn't keeping that ship afloat. XOM (up in pre-market), your time is now!

Just a terrible straw-man.

You just refuse to believe the numerous articles about Neo-nazi militias in the Ukraine.   Bucket:  Thy name is purposeful ignorance.
