Yeah, he was pressured. Having pocket presence helps with that. He needs to step up, he had this issue last year. The college football hall of fame quarterback calling the game has repeatedly called out will for the same thing.
you know sky also had shitty pocket presence (for a fifth and sixth year senior). Lewis and Howard look very similar. something is wrong with scheme or development or both which is kind of surprising given the run of QB's NDSU had.
Thompson’s pocket presence has been pretty good IMO the last two seasons. Much improved from 2019 when he was mediocre at best.

You cannot teach pocket presence, none of that is on the coaches, you can't grant someone else the gift of patience and courage. Skylar got better at it because the game has slowed down for him and he believes in himself. These are the same reasons Lewis is better in the pocket than Howard.
There's no way Howard makes that throw under pressure that Lewis just made. Malik should have caught that.
