Another fun game is trying to figure out what the date actually means.  Sell by? Best if used by? Rotten by? Explosive diarrhea by?

How long will you guys use milk after the exp date? I usually stretch it by a day or two.

Expiration dates are a giant scam led by Big Food and Big Grocery Store.  Oh this thing is expired, guess I have to throw it away and buy another one!  "Best by" dates are even more vague and therefore a bigger scam.

Yeah milk is good for about 2 days after the expiration date.  If it passes the smell test it's good to go.
2 days?  Psh...
:adios:

Walmart milk will actually go bad before the expiration date.  I've seen it.

Nothing at all expired in the fridge, I'm vigilant about that, this abomination was in my pantry that had a best by date of December 22 2015.

I am constantly cleaning ours out too, but i bet I have a 2019 in there still.

Also ms ww randomly looked for homestyle bakes at Dillons last weekend and couldn't find any!
Sometimes I think of the Book of Job and how God likes to really eff with people.

Okay full disclosure milk is good for another 3-4 days and sometimes longer, smell test permitting.  I was afraid of being judged for revealing the truth which is kind of silly since this thread has people openly admitting to having food in their house that was around to see the Royals win a World Series.

every time i open the fridge i do a sweep of the condiments to make sure nothing has escaped my eye.  every now and again i find something and escort it to the trash, feels great when it happens.

so probably the oldest condiment in my fridge is some capers from last spring, but they last a year or so and haven't gone bad yet (just smelled them a couple weeks ago to be sure)

Did a covert spot check and immediately found an Aug 19 expired A1 bottle smdh

Lemmeknow where to mail it. With beans  :Yuck: hard pass for this house, as evidenced by the best by date being over 5 years ago.

that’s a trap, you found it.

As I recall, that weekend was pretty bad for me as I received far more icings than I fished out.

Until earlier this year I had a half-used jar of Wasabi BBQ sauce I bought at the state fair during the Bazooka Joe era of Cat football.

Welp.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Thousand Island Dressing.

Unopened until my Dad broke the seal and put a few tablespoons on his dinner salad tonight.

I’m both astonished and embarrassed it managed to hide there in plain sight all these years.

I'm curious if you told your dad and got a great dad response?   I'd bet on "Tastes fine to me"

After he looked at the date on the bottle, shrugged his shoulders, and said eff it.
