I think Kim's mind might be blown at the median household income in the US

Yeah, the median household income in Brooklyn is about $67k.
That blows my mind, too! Granted Brooklyn is enormous.

Also I personally would need to make lifestyle changes if I were making $400k and paying full tuition for 2 private colleges. Not sure I'd call it "struggling" but there would be adjustments.

I can't tell if you are making a point here or just using this opportunity to point out that you currently make something more than $400k minus 2 years of full college tuition.

I don't make $400k

cRusty.  In my life I have attended both public and private universities.  In my experience there is no difference between the two.

On a professional level, I have had large major public universities as clients and multiple private schools as clients, including two that currently have a four year cost of $210K to $250K.  Utterly indistinguishable at the administrative level outside of individual personality nuances.

IMO, paying crap tons of money for a kid to go to a private school, is money wasted.  I've said it, I believe it, I will not change my mind.

I agree but I would argue NY publics are somehow especially shitty. I definitely wouldn't have wanted to go to any of them. And the privates in question would likely be on the fringe of those 4-10 schools sys mentioned (or one with some serious scholarship money).

But we're keeping the NY schools as options along with out-of-state public schools. There's also a slim chance I'm being a tad dramatic.

There was an entertaining - albeit not terribly surprising - podcast about the nyc public school system called “nice white parents” and whatever you might assume from the title, yes, it’s pretty much exactly that

Currently, people making  > 400k of ordinary income are like the only people paying their fair share of taxes (especially those living in high tax states)

Get rid of all the loopholes
Tax capital gains as ordinary income (another loophole)
Gtfo with the rest of this crap

I don't understand complaining about raising capital gains taxes when you want them taxed as ordinary income.

I didn’t complain about capital gains taxes

Oh. I just assumed the proposed 40% capital gains tax rate was the latest plan that you said Biden should be put behind bars for.

Proud of #blueanon's boy as he answered those reporters questions about the banking system.  Strong, firm, clearly understanding the situation.

The message seemed pretty clear. Sucks for them to need to ask clarifying questions

BAC, why do you just accept the reality that Joe Biden isn't allowed to answer any questions from reporters?

I heard some of the questions, and those questions weren't answered by President Ensure's Teleprompter as he read it.

Joe tells so many lies and tale tales I suppose #blueanon just doesn't care anymore.

The man who was just an eyelash short of being a Fullbrightian (Bill Clinton mentor) level segregationist, an ardent champion of incarceration nation, and a dude who once classified gay people as national security threats.

Now talks as if he was shoulder to shoulder going across the Pettus Bridge and has been enlightened on gay marriage since the early 50's.

Such yarns would be worthy of an additional 4 threads, and 40 pages of posts in 24 hours if the political roles were reversed.

I'm genitalia obsessed . . . #slowdug/#deflectodug

I mean, imagine millions upon millions of worm brains actually believing that Hunter Biden's lap top was a "classic Russian intelligence operation" and then parroting it over and over and over again

Some new SARS variants hitting DC.  Originating from Treasury.

#blueanon vax's worked very hard to block these new variants, but alas, the new SARS variants are now circulating throughout the population.

President Ensure in denial.

Developing . . .

Turn up Trump deflection to 8/7 . . .

'Grats to BlackRock, and other #blueanon mega financial favorites on the ESG veto.

As an aside, you would think that BlackRock and JP Morgan would be pushing hard to get the war in Ukraine over so they can begin their financial takeover of that grift state.
