There's a copious legion of #blueanon thought leaders who don't want Joe to be President.

Hell, fat ol butterball Jerry Nadler wouldn't even commit to Biden running again during his debate the other night.

#deflectodug strikes again

I drone striked that one very close to someone's home.  I am absolutely ROLLING

Again, layoffs accelerating, full time labor force two straight months of marked decline, multiple job holders with marked increase.

Mid-term smoke and mirrors.

https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/CIVPART

The labor force participation rate is in a 22 year decline.

That's understood, but some of the reasons given for that decline are bullshit.   It's not all people just straight up retiring because it's time for them to retire.

Ok, then what is the cause of the 22 year decline that also happens to coincide with baby boomers retiring?

Automation, outsourcing, increased female salaries, exorbitant childcare costs, boomers and gen-x letting kids live at home rent free, increased public aid ???

I definitely think those all have contributed, I was too flippant. Childcare costs and female labor participation have definitely created more stay at home dads, but that is not the primary cause. I am definitely in favor of more generous child care benefits and more robust welfare for families, as I think that would smooth some of the difficulties with peak child baring years being the lowest earning years of people's careers and stop people at the margins from leaving the workforce to provide child care if they do not want to do so, but again, the demographics are largely driving this and will continue to do so.

Here is Bullard talking about this stuff in 2016:

I agree it's primarily boomers retiring. It probably would have been steeper if not for the last couple economic crises coinciding with American's penchant for credit purchases and overindulgence. This likely extended the employment of quite a few boomers. Although that's probably a zero-sum net effect since that also kept others out of the market.

Middle to younger Boomers have had a pretty blessed run over the past 10 years with markets compounding the crap out of their retirement accounts.

I shouldn't have posted LFPR because I knew  #blueanongE and derps like @LickNeckey would seize upon that and the jobs numbers.  When the peel back reveals declines in full time employment, and increases in people with two jobs or more while layoffs are back up.

This is fantastic on so many levels.   Lifted and apparently altered from Batman.

Threw a GOT throne in that hoe too.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Biden’s post-Covid cough sounds like crap. Just roll Kamala out there until he can quit hacking up a lung imo. It’s annoying TF out of me.

While @turnbull and the other usual suspects continue to get fully chubbed about Trump.

The current mentally incapacitated SFB war monger weirdo posing as our President and his handlers continue to gaslight the American people.   Trying to pull out some wonkish economic calculus that there was "ZERO Inflation" in July.

I do give them credit, their near mid-term gaslighting efforts have been one's for the ages. Sadly, we have millions of #blueanon derps who will parrot this stuff repeatedly.

What a pickle for #blueanon.

As ProgLibs John Bolton was despised.  As a bonafide anti-Trumper (because Trump wouldn't let him start World War III), #blueanon embraced JB with open arms.

In the UK, pickle can mean chutney.  Isn't that crazy?  They eat cheese and pickle sandwiches.

Sadly we have some derps who think BRICS just doesn't matter.

Also, African countries welcome China and Russia with the red carpet treatment, while the same countries ask why the United States is always threatening them with sanctions and military force.

Meanwhile our SFB's are terrified of Donald Trump

After crying for 6 years about the other guy, all the Dems had to do was lay down a bunt to beat the previous guy, instead, they struck out looking with their pants down  You can’t make this stuff up, folks!
