He has an incredible understanding, and it's been in so many powerpoints it'd make your brain bleed.

Read the room, Phil.  I can’t say anything about it without the usuals saying I love Putin.

Just talking about the stupid crap our clown president and his regime change/war loving admin is saying about Ukraine sends several here over the edge.

Russian live fire exercises off the coast of Ireland, and Abu Dhabi under attack by the Houthi's.

You gonna liveblog this saber rattling in a new thread or just keep rough ridin' up the Biden one?

I just reaffirmed that Joe Biden is (sadly) the Commander in Chief and head of our national command authority.

Now if you'll excuse me I'm working my way through the walking back of the original walking back of all the things Biden got wrong in his press conference.

Trump:  Impeached for an alleged quid-pro-quo (which is laughable knowing the workings of Biden Family Inc) with Ukraine

Biden the Clown:   Tells Russia it's okay to take a few more chunks of the Ukraine, it'll be okay (walked back with great zeal by his handlers)

An all-out European war over Ukraine would arguably be dumber/more pointless than the series of idiotic decisions that led to World War I.

Never say never (particularly when referencing something like WWI), but what Vindman's saying has about a 1% chance of actually happening.

Absolutely the dumbest/most pointless thing maybe in history.

But at least it's not a home game for us.

It's not about Ukraine. It's about preventing other things after Ukraine.

Maybe you think that's dumb, but saying it's about Ukraine misses the point.

There's certainly all sorts of geo-politcal shennanigans at play - as there is with any conflict. But, at the end of the day, Putin doesn't want to lose Ukraine and it's quite likely he's willing to do more to not lose it than the West is to check him.

And, if/when that happens and Ukraine becomes a puppet state of Russia, so what? It's not worth tens of millions of people dying (which is what Vindman is suggesting is going to happen) and the bulk of the west understands that. You can certainly argue for/against that approach, criticize the West when they respond to Putin agression with sanctions, etc.

All I'm saying is that Vindman suggesting WWIII is on the horizon because of this dispute is just silly - it's not going to happen.

#blueanonGe’s beloved Germany who pumps billions into Vlad Putin’s pockets is clearly undermining the NATO alliance response.

That should really piss off #blueanonGe who hates everything and everyone who demonstrates even a smidgen of a hint of being pro Russian/Putin

That's much more on point. Of course, your opponents will compare you to the many who kept making concessions to Hitler as he kept invading more and more countries. Especially since Putin has expressed his desire make Russia the global power that the Soviet Union was. Can you really blame Europe for not wanting to deal with all that invasion business again?

Putin doesn't want to lose Ukraine

Are you aware that Ukraine is not part of Russia?
