I think it’s pretty normal outrage for moderates or anyone who leans right to examine the President from afar to the previous administration who got gutted on the reg. Apparently covid was Trumps fault, but Biden is kicking/killing those numbers now a days (with a vaccine in his pocket) & Biden is free of a 20 year evacuation game plan gone wrong. Got it!

Performative outrage is a great term. I’ve enjoyed/been frustrated by the performative outrage put forth from almost all of the “sides” on any issues (and tbh, non issues) that have come up.

It’s not a card. It’s the truth. You don’t go around ending failed 20-year foreign occupations without the claws coming out. If Trump had won re-election then got us out of Afghanistan, the reaction likely would have been magnitudes worse.
