1. Fired Chip Kelly. Chip knows how to win in places like Eugene and Manhattan.

2. Fired Tom Herman. If he's good enough for Texas to hire...

3. Fired Dana Dimel. If you can't get Venables or Bielema, Dimel is your next best option for a "K-State guy".

Yea let's blame Snyder for this CK absolutely shitting the bed today. Absolutely no excuse to lose to Arkansas State. Cupboard may not be full, but we have far more talent and are playing at home with a Senior QB with damn near 30 starts under his belt. Failure of leadership all around and it starts with CK.

We have more talent, but it’s probably closer than one might expect. There is a ton of talent in the Deep South and a lot of it filters down to the Sun Belt Conference.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Pro tip for future K-State football coaches: Don’t take the job after Snyder mails it in on recruiting.

the wizard recruited like crap towards the end on purpose to make whoever replaced him look bad and thereby make him look better. Some say it’s his best act of magic.

OK, explain the 8-5 record with Snyder's losers last season.  I would think this year he has a few of his own recruits.  I think the OP got it right, we got another Prince.

He was always gross, now he's on track to get fired from North Texas after the 2021 season.

My immense knowledge of all things K-State tells me that both of our coordinators are pushing against the glass ceiling.

I'm definitely leaning toward "getting their guys" really not making a huge difference.

IMO this is particularly the case with Messingham.   He'll have moments, but it will be intertwined with substantial periods of ineptness at critical times during games setting up a lot of frustration and subsequently being a drag on K-State's chances to succeed.

I think it's time for our big money donors to step away from naming all the video boards and suite level stuff, and start putting their names on more coaching endowments to help bolster K-State football's salary pool for coaching.

Our last possession was absolutely dreadful clock management.

This, like the undisciplined penalties, were also issues last year.

Yeah, he's going to be playing on Sunday somewhere.

those are a hell of a lot catchier than "build a fast, strong, tough, disciplined football team that consistently competes for championships"

Was a former 4* A&M WR, so, yeah, pretty studly.

This should go in the other thread but I'm putting it here because I think our kickers brain is going to be pretty much skittled all season.  After that dismal showing I think he will have the yips all year.  :whistle1:
Fifteen minutes later, when the Kansas locker room opened its doors to the media, the Jayhawks were still crying. Literally, bawling. All of them. I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen devastated college locker rooms -- after losses in the Final Four, the national championship game -- ever

Wasn’t that No. 1, the WR that threw the nice deep ball?

Beating OU was essentially Ron beating Texas in 06

That means we get a W in 2 weeks in Norman before the wheels completely come off.  Enjoy it.

I think CK has things a little more together than ron did. HOWEVER, they both lost their best assistant/assistants after year one.
