We'll know more obv this week, but IMO thinking OU is to Klieman as Texas is to Prince is kinda dumb. Klieman's teams clearly have coaching and schemes. Prince's teams relied on J Free actually deciding to show up.

I think CK has things a little more together than ron did. HOWEVER, they both lost their best assistant/assistants after year one.

was Raheem better than James Franklin?

comparing CK to prince is dumb.  by all accounts, the players love CK and he isn't a sociopath.  also, as noted earlier ITT, CK knows how to build/manage a program.

The only comparison so far is that each performed pretty well early in their stints at K-State.

but DOESN'T make assistant coaches run stairs after returning to BSFS after bad road losses!

2 similarities and only 1 difference!

Next combo fan season we need to do a gems of the RP thread...Way too much for one person to tackle but if you assigned each person 10-20 pages it might become manageable. It would be a treat.

Edit. I thought Franklin and Morris left the same year.

Beating OU wasn't as fun this year. Though, that could just be because this isn't a real season.

It wasn't as fun for me either. The wedding DJamer calling it the biggest win in program history legitimately might be the dumbest thing I've heard in recent memory.

Sidenote, I can't stand those banner society dudes, their podcast is so dull. Those two dudes are who trim should make threads about when it comes to self-important media smelling their own farts.

Until today, I’d always assumed that was some kc guy that worked for 38 the Spot.

I dunno about you guys but I found that upset fun as eff. We overcame nearly insurmountable odds and had an insane 4th quarter comeback at their place! It was awesome!

Was it maybe less exciting to you because there weren’t many fans there? That part I understand.

It wasn't as fun because it's a fake season and I think OU is done losing. The '12 and '14 games seemed bigger.

This was a fake season before Saturday. Now it's real again.

does that guy just assume everyone considers OU their rival? I mean for me its an easy question...if someone would have said "hey the cats can go to the playoff this year but they have to lose to OU" i'd be like "deal. where do i sign?"

I'm pretty sure he was talking about KU. That is the team we beat every year. Maybe OU should just make KU their rival so they can have as much fun watching football as we do.

it felt big to me, yes this season isn't the same, but when i was watching the game for those 3.5 hours, it seemed like a normal big time win to me.  still does.

It was an exciting finish, but with the context being so different it’s hard to call it a big win. We could end up with a team ranked in the top 20 in late November who played like 3 games.

We clearly take beating KU for granted, but there is value in it!

This season will count more with every Cats win and less with every Cats loss. Right now, it's at full normal status but that may change.

Pffft...as if we never win a conference.
