Had 8am soccer followed by baseball pool play (2 games) Saturday and then drew the 8am Sunday game in the bracket. I had zero weekend outside of kid sports and also had to get up early AF both days. I'm beat.  :sdeek:

lil sd's 6th grade team that I coach is 5-0 and squares off against another 5-0 team in our finale of the reg season tomorrow. the other team hasn't given up a point all season  :surprised:

How’d it go? Were your little dudes able to backup their trash talking?

Nope, lost a close one. Were down 7 with 4 minutes to go driving and our RB fumbled on 1st and goal at the 5 :-(

We realized in the second half we could just ram it down their throats and started to cook but too little too late. We should get them again in the semi final though and I like our chances.

Dang it. Hopefully you'll get revenge when it really matters. Sounds like you guys will have both confidence and motivation on your side.

I have to say that it’s impressive that SD has basically become a full time volunteer youth sports coach.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Also I somehow have a really good and kind of important irl job. I have no idea how I will function with free time (if I live to experience it).

Millard West Jr. Wildcats won our first round playoff game 32-0 against a 5-1 Omaha South team. 32-0 was the first half score. Had backups in the entire second half with a running clock. We now get a revenge game against the team we lost to last week in the semi final.

Last baseball tourney of the year last weekend. Whipped total ass up to the championship game and somehow forgot how to play baseball during that game and lost to a team we should have beaten pretty badly. Baseball is weird some times. Not mad about a long break from tournaments. It seemed our last few were more brutal than others with scheduling. Lots of gaps in bracket play which is fairly enraging. Happy to have weekends back for a bit.  :billdance:

Can Lil SF have all of Lil SDs "old" bats that he doesn't use anymore since his rich dad buys him new ones all the time?

Also, I lol'd at a game a while back. One of our good hitters had been struggling a bit and coach picked up his new Tank bat and was just holding it telling him how nice it was. He then said, "what was your average this summer before you got this new bat?". The kid just stared at him and then coach said, "you know, baseball is weird sometimes and messing with a good thing doesn't always work out.". The kid went back to his old bat and all I could think about was that his parents bought him a $450 bat that he isn't using anymore.

Just one soccer game this weekend. First weekend in forever that we aren't completely booked. Might play golf, might smoke some ribs and watch football. Who knows? I can do whatever I want!!!!!

I would but I’ve got another smaller kid on his team that inherits all of them already as he outgrows them.

I despise those Soldier bats. They are an Omaha company. They push them heavy into clubs here.

my boys won 14-12 in the semis in a revenge game. They were the undefeated 1 seed and prior we were the only team that had scored on them. I was as close to having an IRL heart attack as I've knowingly been in my life when we went up with 1:30 to go in the game. we are in the 6th grade metro championship on saturday. go cats!

also my 3rd grade daughter plays for the feeder basketball team now. they don't start until 3rd grade. her previous team has been a group of younger sisters of lil sd's teammates and their team hasn't lost a game in 2 seasons against other random co-ed and girls little kid teams. just out-mean eveyrone else and dominate via aggression. well, they are registered in the top division in actual competitive basketball in omaha and showed up game one and got bodied by 20 pts. pretty eye opening for the girls. maybe need to work on like dribbling and shooting and passing and whatnot and just not assume that because you have older brothers you can take the ball from anyone you play and intimidate them into quitting. fun times though.

I'm not joking that if they showed up to play myself and my 6th grade team they'd beat us 700-0. They are animals.
