For a sec there I thought lol sd had gunz.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

lil sd can bust out 40 good form pushups. he will hopefully get gunz eventually. he's slow and small (mom's fault, I'm 6'). so he has to lean into what he can do.

I'm in for $56 in gate fees (2 adults, lil sd) for my 3rd grade daughter Sat/Sun tourney. Makes a lot of sense.

Swimming is probably the most extreme best for kids/worst for parents combo. (Depending on what the meets are like but in general it's a brutal spectator sport)

Uhh, softball will play five games a day. Absolutely ruthless. Baseball that doesn’t happen.

Also Softball competitive teams practice and travel way more than standard baseball ones. It makes sense because there are 100 competitive baseball teams in Omaha we can play but like 20 softball. Got to travel to find someone new.

Our Millard Fury girls are monsters. They work in our same indoor facilities: I tell my boys to stay TF out of their way because they will whip their asses.

I've recently learned that lots of kids like school track because there's a whole bunch of time in between their events where they just sit around and socialize.

F- tier: track, cc, etc

I really enjoyed going to 8th grade CC meets this year. Great weather. Laid back. Much better than track. Would recommend.

XC meets are the best (as long as at isn't 95 degrees outside)

Lil kids basketball tips off today. All 3 games are this afternoon with only one break between which is perfect for a lazy parent-fan like myself.

Speaking of baseball….if your kid is in band, forensics or track and field. You kid is likely hitting some doubles.

The fact that a single dominant softball pitcher can basically pitch all day long and then again the next day ruins the game imo.

Yes, it’s nuts. And they play like 75 games a weekend.

My 9th grader joined swim team this year having never done competitive swim. He was never good at team sports but kept trying different things. I love it because he spent the entire holiday break up at school at 8 AM to work and practice. Also I really like swim for him because if you aren't winning or qualifying for state you're just trying to set a PR and improve.

That's awesome. Very cool that he's trying new things like this. Also, depending on the competition structure and size of the team, sometimes novice swimmers can help the team earn points just by competing in a race (especially if the other team doesn't fill all spots). Even if it's a relay it's a great way to get involved and help the team

yeah, my daughter joined the swim team last summer. it was her first year. she wasn't nearly as good as a lot of them but not the worst either. was their #2 backstroke and #4 freestyle swimmer and it was fun to see where she was able to get points for the team even though she never finished first in a race. also in the little kids division you can get a lot of points just by finishing your butterfly or breast stroke and not DQ'ing. there are heats where 3/4 of the kids get DQd in the under 8 age division here.
