Well the hottest b12 coordinators sure as hell do
Coordinators should be considered separately from head coaches. Their  goal is to get a head coaching job and be set for life as well as their families. Having success and multiple schools builds the resume and lets them prove their success isn't tOhat of their boss on the system. Of course a million thrown to make a move is a factor in the decision.
I think a really hot head ccoach, Klieman or Campbell, aren't going to jump to a risky mid program. They'll wait for a competitive school to open up. I'd guess bottom consideration would be schools like Arkansas, Iowa, a reinvigorated Illinois if they maintain the momentum, Ol Miss, TAM, Purdue (?). I would be stunned if the collie cult didn't reach out to CK and LL last year. At CK's age, why start over with a rebuild at a traditionally mid to bad program?

At what point does OSU retire Gundy?

I think it will take another year of similar performance to nail the coffin shut.  Hes one year removed from a B12 title game appearance.

Didn't LSU HC lose his job the second year from winning an NC?  Also, the same thing happened to Auburn HC?

So if Prime splits after this year, does Colorado pursue home-state boy Klein? Would he be a good cultural fit in Boulder?

Will be a great HC, I'd totally go for it as an AD. Not really a great culture fit. He's nice. They are not nice.

Man, the Colorado hire after Prime will be so interesting. Probably won't be able to get a head coach from a Power 5 school, right? Maybe reach out to Chip Kelly and/or Kotelnicki?

Having Kotelnicki beat KU in their half finished stadium would be a highly entertaining sight.

I don't know what a Power 5 school is anymore but they could absolutely get someone like Sonny Dykes. But I don't think their next hire will be very interesting

I have spoken before of my feelings on aTm.  Klein becoming a Coordinator at aTm disqualifies him from ever being the coach of my beloved wildcats.  That place is a cult of nonsense and general douchebaggery that should be viewed with disgust and openly mocked by well adjusted people of good character.

Klein would be fine at CU there isn't a program in the FBS that would care about their coach being a holy roller if he wins. It's like some of y'all forgot about Dan McCartney. Deion is also a holy roller.

I did forget about Bill McCartney, but he retired 30(!) years ago. But yeah I see your point and  think a bigger challenge for Klein at CU is you don't see a lot of coordinators successfully making the jump to a job at the level of CU lately.

I'm not a Collin Klein guy but he's thought of just as much as a coordinator as Lanning was. Remember KU hired Lance instead of Lanning when they fired Les.

Bill McCartney.  And yes, Deion has the initials "JC" on his jacket for a reason.
