I may not be painting my neighborhood in the best light, but my Next Door has been lit lately.

Guy walking in neighborhood with a golf club

Did anyone in the Orchard Heights area notice a guy walking through with a golf club in the past 15-20min? He cut through my side yard and went into a the field, but when I asked him why he was back here, he responded with "don't rough ridin' worry about it!"
Lmao

And that guy was Jeff Bridges.

I have an 11-year old boy who would like to take parkour classes. Does anyone know of any classes being offered now, preferably outdoors?

I like how they put a tent emoji at the end of a post in which they said they needed an RV to go camping.

Sharon had her package from Fed Ex containing pain medication for her dog stolen off her front porch.

Sheri responds

None of them knock or ring the doorbell!! they afraid or just thoughtless and Lazy? Mass deaths from our homeless encampments might give some credibility to this horrible game of cooties.

That should be a pic of a jogger.
Caption should be:
"Bike Lane? Hell yeah, I love jogging down the middle of the bike lane"

Quote
Gosh, so true. Cyclists always have perfectly safe bike lanes to ride in that aren't obstructed by big trucks or nonexistant or anything. Sometimes they just feel like being in the flow of traffic instead of being totally safe.
(sarcasm)

Question to cyclists:
Are you supposed to stop or at least greatly reduce speed at a stop sign?

Don’t worry! When we finally take back the roads from the cars, there will be enough space for all of us. Signed, your neighbor that loves to walk town around safely.

Please be aware of this "Karen" she posted about trying to rehome kittens, I went out of my way today to potentially give one of them a home(messaged her on the 9th and barley responded back), she did not give me specific directions considering her apartment has bldg number and same apartment number on both sides, she continued to text me and harass me and call me lazy, she spoke to me in a rude way in front of my child and then said my child could not see the kitten, I do believe because I am Hispanic she denied me of the kitten because when she saw me her attitude completely changed, so for those who contacted her good luck

Someone wisely suggested checking your yard for bunny nests so you don't massacra baby bunnies. This has happened to multiple people in NextDoor and they described how traumatic it is.

So I go to starbucks to enjoy a coffee and the paper and an suv comes flying into the parking lot, I I barely miss them as I pull out of the gas station. Then sitting with my coffee some woman is going off on everyone around her which made it less than pleasurable, and then she starts a fire, so I threw my coffee and started asking people throw your liquid throw your liquid and everybody was like she's crazy I'm like I don't care who started the freaking fire throw your liquid at it. What the hell is going on?

Quote
Call the fire department nerd.

Good advice, but she'd probably have been better off calling the fire department directly.

My first read of the story was that the writer had lost it at how bad the day had started and decided to act crazy too and her way of doing so was to yell "throw your liquid."  I'd speed-read past the fire part.

I was in my backyard at dusk when I kept hearing a buzz around me. It lasted for several minutes and finally got so loud I was afraid something was going to hit me. I looked all over and realized it was a drone that quickly flew away. Is this legal?  Has anyone else had this happen?  I find it invasive and disturbing.

Quote
My wife and I were in our hot tub recently and heard that tell-tale buzzing overhead - sure enough it was a drone over our house and yard, and it soon flew off. We don't wear clothes in the hot tub. 🤭 What the hell!?

sounds great to the tune of the 2009 TOO SHORT classic, "blow the whistle"
