someone stumbled upon an unofficial car show/meetup

Quote
Lots of cars yesterday and crowds and stunts- is this a sideshow?

you can bet your ass she was called a Karen and mocked at hating on people having fun so she fought back

Quote
So contrary to the assumptions on this thread, I actually love car shows and muscle cars (in my dreams I'm driving a Corvette rather than my 2007 Honda) and in fact when I came across a low rider car show on the Point a few years ago when I was biking around I took pics of that and posted it to peeps so others could come by and join. However, having said that there was a very different feel about yesterday's event. #1 the enhanced mufflers are very loud and while apparently many of those on this thread find that cool you are likely in the 1% on that. The rally was next to a park where people go for peace and tranquility and that was ruined. #2 the location was on the path to the Hornet and there's no alternative route to bypass the rally if it's not your thing. The cars were also demonstrating maneuvers in an area where there was no sidewalk so if you wanted to get to the hornet or past you had to share the road with them which didn't feel safe. #3) It's Covid so any large gatherings are ill advised and prohibited. I get that there are many that really enjoy these rallies and don’t care about Covid restrictions - why not pick a place on the base that is not next to a park and a local tourist attraction and where one could bypass if it was not your thing. I also want to say that I was stuck in a crowded tube with the rally last weekend and the noise of the mufflers while enclosed in the tube was really scary for me. Can those mufflers be turned down or off or once you have adjusted them to be louder - that's it, they are just loud? I really don't think it's fair for the 1% who likes these really loud cars to impose this on the rest of us when we can't choose to get away. I'm sure you will call me every name in the book here - and some already have - but that's my perspective.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

so while i‚Äôm on her side, I bet the guys at the unofficial car show would love how loud my exhaust can be (hint- v loud  :fatty: )

On NextDoor someone shared a video from their ring security system of a lady stealing boxes from Chewy on their front porch. The group was able to find the perp selling kitty litter on Facebook Marketplace. Someone shared the below meme from the perp's Facebook feed.

After reading the rest of the thread I also realized a bought a lawnmower from the perp last summer.

I may not be painting my neighborhood in the best light, but my Next Door has been lit lately.

Guy walking in neighborhood with a golf club

Did anyone in the Orchard Heights area notice a guy walking through with a golf club in the past 15-20min? He cut through my side yard and went into a the field, but when I asked him why he was back here, he responded with "don't rough ridin' worry about it!"
