Tested positive today, have had a mild sore throat for a couple days, no other symptoms (yet).  Guessing I got it at the Chiefs\Broncos game Saturday.

Woke up more congested and a worse sore throat.  Def hammering some dayquil.

On day 7, pretty much symptom free.  Tested positive again on day 5.  It is weird, I had a couple of symptom free days, and then shitty days after.  I have been isolating in the the basement, thankfully my wife and kid still haven't gotten it.  Coincidentally my 18 month old got sick with something else... my wife is about to lose her mind!

This was exactly our experience aside from Mrs SF having it instead of me. I checked on her one day and she was doing some very low impact workout. 2 days later, she felt like crap again. None of us got it and I about lost my crap dealing with everything and trying to keep her as isolated as possible.

Yeah I think my wife is secretly hoping one of them tests positive so I can come out of the dungeon.  Almost to that point myself.  After how many days did Mrs SF come out of isolation?

We did 6ish days. She started coming out a bit 5 days after testing positive which was a day or so after having symptoms. She wore KN95 for a day or so after, but we were all done with it by day 6.

Pretty much back to normal. Tired from being tired. Little cough but inhaler takes care of it.

Good to know! My urgent care doc, when I had a positive PCR said I should isolate 10 days, but as soon as my symptoms are gone completely I am done.

yep, ask someone else and they will say something different. we went with the "she is prob contagious 2-3 days before and after having symptoms" theory and gave it an extra day or so. That worked out to her being isolated about 5-6 days after the positive test.

One of the kids just got Omicron'd. Flu like symptoms (severe fatigue, HA, sore throat, stuffy nose, muscle aches) yesterday. Already feeling much better today.

What's the school isolation plan?

No school x 5days, then return to school wearing a mask for 5 days.

Yeesh we have 10 days before returning to  school from symptomatic covid. Masks were already required.

Not saying our district is taking the right approach but with 10 days out I think you will run out of students and teachers pretty quickly.

well it's 10 days for symptomatic only (5 days asymptomatic) and they're testing all the time. which should catch more infections sooner and reduce them overall.

looked it up and both my kids schools were at 90% attendance today. I think part of it's because covid just ripped through NYC but also I think the test to stay helps.

People were expected to stay home for more than 5 days before the CDC updates.

yeah and my point (if there was one) is that tons of people are still doing less than the updated CDC recommendations that upset a bunch of people

MAGA aunt is out of the hospital. So that’s good. No Facebook posts since before she was admitted. Really going to be interesting to see if she goes back in on her anti-vax stuff knowing the petty Facebook BS she routinely engages in and knowing she will get absolutely skewered for it by the local non-MAGAs she fights with on there if she does.

Unfortunately, she will prob double down if anything. They dig in pretty deep and from my experience, they will do anything they can before admitting that they were wrong.

MIL (3 chips) tested positive on Tues.  Wife (also 3 chips) was with her all afternoon and evening on Sat.  Fully expect a Rona invasion at the Schreds house by the weekend.

Was with my mom, sisters nieces/nephews etc the previous Sunday and no one else got sick

Lil SF tested positive today. He was sneezing and sniffing yesterday so I kept him home. He was fine all day and I told him he should have went to school. Came down at 5am this morning with a headache and had a small fever. Tested positive. I avoided it 2 weeks ago when Mrs SF had it, we will see if I somehow avoid this one.
