Yeah, there are more than enough idiots who don't care if they get COVID to work the polls.

I don't know if it will make a significant difference but I know there was a lot of "activism"/talk to get younger people to sign up to be poll workers post covid and I know a few that did. At least locally it seemed like they had more than enough volunteers and people couldn't even find a spot. I don't think there will realistically be a major poll worker shortage surprise on election day, April was a lot different than now.

I'm considering working the polls. If I can't find a non profit that needs help with an election day initiative, I'm going to do it. In Iowa you have to commit to working from 6:00AM to 10:00PM to do it.

Working at polls means you automatically get Covid.   Who could possibly argue with that?

There's a hell of a difference between the two town halls. Calm and relaxed vs. agitated and tense.

This may have already been covered, but why so much focus on Harris County again?

my twitter feed is pretty heavily texas biased and harris county is the most populous county in texas and also is the texas county with the most pronounced early voting response.

oh hey, turnbull.  i think polls are a much better predictor of how the election is going to go, but the early vote is going to far surpass your threshold of 20m on 10/16.

Hopefully the current trend line of K-Streeter’s , K-Street advisors and Neo-Con’s that will likely fill the Biden administration.  Stops at not allowing one of the worst human  beings on the planet to set foot inside any wing of the WH.

To repeal the old liquor-by-the-drink law that requires businesses who serve alcohol must generate 30% of sales from food.  This is the main reason micro brews don’t pop up in JOCO.  If this law is repealed, they can concentrate on selling great beer and leave the food sales to food trucks.  It is a constant threat to current breweries because they have I think 2 years to get food sales to 30%.
