Honestly, abolishing the electoral college would be the best thing that could happen to the Republican party. That would make them change their platform to something that isn't blatantly evil and get votes from a demographic that isn't religious whites. The EC gives them a narrow path to victory without changing anything and I think they will continue losing relevance until it's obvious that they can't even win with that.

The craziest thing about that is the jump from 2012 to 2016, they aren't lying about changing demographics.

I really don't get voting habits. How did Beto and Abbot essentially get the same amount of votes from the same people in that district?

Like here in Iowa where Joni Ernst is polling double digits behind her democratic opponent, but trump is polling even with Biden. It makes no sense.

That's a quickly developing area of Houston with tons of new folks moving in. Easy to see how that district could be blue.

Is it the RABA poll? Only double digit one I see:

https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2020-election-forecast/senate/iowa/

It's also like here in KS with Bollier being slightly ahead but KS of course will go trump. I think a lot of it is motivation and caring about down ballot (though Senator ain't exactly "down") elections.

With the amount of early voting going on....I kinda think if the number is above 20 million by friday 11:59 PM 10-16-2020, that the Democrats will win. If it's below that I'll venture to say it's a toss up. However, the GOP might have shot themselves in the foot with COVID and Election Day voting. IF the COVID virus is rising and poll workers refuse to show up (very likely as most are elderly) the almost 70/30 Trump vote would be diminished across the board. The ultimate irony would be that for once they'd have to wait in long lines and that poll places would be closed without advanced knowledge leading for them to scramble (probably give up 20% of them) on where to vote crushing GOP down ballot, possibly swinging numerous state legislatures to Democrat control (GA Senate, TX House, ending veto proof majorities) and making a 2020 redistricting year more favorable, and could give Democrats the almost clear path to the House throughout the 2020s

Why wouldn't poll workers show up?  They knew about COVID when they signed up to do it this year.
