A year and a couple months in to this and unfortunately my waking hours have shifted and now I work from like 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM and I can't really get motivated to do much of anything past 11.

The reason for making people come in is that they own a giant office building and want to use it. The reason they're only making us come in 2 days a week is that during the pandemic the company's recruiters found out that people didn't want to work for a company that made them come into the office 5 days a week.

AND, I am convinced there is a portion of the human race that just completely gets off on the feeling of walking around and being a "boss" with others sucking up to them. If everyone is working from home, it's not as pleasurable for them.
