I'm probably a huge bad person, but I don't think the willingly unvaxxed should be eligible for the Pfizer pills.

Maybe instead we should talk about healthy eating and exercise? IDK just going off of CNN who yesterday said fat people have a tougher time with it.

I saw a research article that something like 61% of kids that are hospitalized with COVID are obese.

39% of non obese kids being hospitalized is a shitload. Yet, I'm sure there are people who won't get their kids vaccinated because "healthy kids don't get covid."

Here's the thing.  Which is easier to fix: forcing/coercing/cajoling people to get a shot or tackle how fat most people in America are?

Listen bud, there is no easy fix to the obesity epidemic. We can't even do basic crap, not sure why you think that is possible in the ol U S of A.

I'm sure we could come up with some ideas, but most people think providing free school lunches is a communist nightmare (and the school lunches are basically what we feed prisoners), it just is not going to happen. In this context?  Quarantining people on Mars is about as relevant.

Of course there isn’t, sugar, sodium and screen time. It’s difficult to unlearn bad habits and relearn new ones.

My booster held strong against holiday party season.  I'm shocked at this point  see what Vegas has to offer this weekend.

Which brings me to a question I thought of recently. If one gets it while traveling via air domestically, the ethical thing to do is not fly back? I'm now buying a hotel room for 5 days plus?

Yeah that's the ethical thing to do. But I'm not sure many people would do it if they were asymptomatic, and I'm sure a lot of folks would travel even with a fever and a positive test. With international the government explicitly said you're paying for your accommodations if you can't come back due to a positive test.

Another option from Vegas would be to drive back but it might be cheaper to just get a Vegas hotel at that point

Looking at the childhood obesity rate, it would appear that you're about 3x more likely to be hospitalized if you're obese.  It's significant, but not near as significant as getting vaxxed.

I know a lot of Mexican resorts are letting you stay free and I heard a few domestic hotels do it if you call down and tell them the situation. I agree with you most will just fly home no matter what versus stay and isolate

Hopefully if you ever have symptoms, Phil.  You won't have to wait in line for 2.5 hours like my Pfizer 3.0 mother just did the other day in JoCo.   Still no results posted in KS portal . . . which BTW appears to be run by a 3rd party consisting of, 1 guy.

Thank you, this was my point. Those odds, to me anyway, aren't as such that I'd be willing to play russian roulette with my kid's health.

Just took my 4th test of the pandemic. More cars going through the drive-through but still pretty efficient. Of course I had to schedule this one a couple days in advance, whereas in the past I’d scheduled one like 30 minutes and it could’ve been less if I was confident I could get there quicker.

Yes the US pop sucks at taking care of itself, which makes it laughable to propose that as any kind of solution in the face of a public health crisis. You might as well tell California to have fewer trees made of wood to avoid wildfires.

I've had no problems the multiple times I've been tested at the free testing site offered by the KDHE. Maybe waited fifteen minutes at most each time. Tests results usually took around 36 hrs to get back (they quote 48-72). Walgreens also has rapid tests available but I live in lowly third world MHK so what do i know.  :dunno:

That’s probably the worst example you could’ve come up with. They don’t do controlled burns and literally just push dead crap to the ground and do nothing with it
