You had to be there. He was preaching about weathering the storm from everything that's going on out there right now. He was using example of what's going on: covid, etc. And made it a point that it isn't just the pandemic that people are going through, mental health is a huge issue right now as well. Watch out for your people out there. "You know what I found interesting the other day? It's not just covid itself that people are going through. I heard so and so stat the other day on suicides in Australia. There recently more suicide vs covid deaths on said of said date. Protocols are also hurting people's mental health as well"....

Kinda weird when right wingers are concerned about overdose deaths / suicide / mental health / deaths of despair. Was always taught that those things were were due to a lack of rugged individualism / insufficient bootstrapping / weak moral fiber. Hopefully suicide prevention, drug treatment and taking a long look at the social determinants of mental health will be a priority, going forward.

Edit: I'm not saying that is anyone ITT thread's position vis a vis mental health. Just is the vibe I get from certain talking head types.

I both go to the office and have kids who go to school. If I were positive I would probably isolate more from my kids until I had a negative rapid and let possible contacts in the office know.
