all that money stuff aside the super villain stuff is that desantis is parading around a treatment for covid that costs a shitload and is only used after covid is confirmed instead of a vaccine that is free and exponentially more effective both prophylactically and to avoid serious illness/hospitalization. go through his twitter feed and check out all of the antibody posts without any promoting of the vaccine (other than his rejection of vaccine mandates). he wants to run for president and knows he must get 100% of the MAGA antivax vote to have any chance and this is just rough ridin' awful crap he's doing to assure that.

He’s in real life ok with excess deaths of his constituents if he has a slightly better chance of taking the MAGA anti vax vote to the finish line

Hawaii:  1.5 years of masks, high compliance, 65% vax rate

Just set a new Covid hospitalization record

And your point is?
High vax and mask usage.   Still crap tons of
Covid.  All that CoronaBro melting down about those things and Hawaii operating in a CoronaBro approved manner and yet is still overrun with the virus.

High vax places in other parts of the world. Covid Level 4: High Risk.

Dax is not only bad at providing context he straight up makes up numbers. Hawaii is 54% vaccinated and their crap ton of cases are 20% that of Florida. Guess they have a super crap ass ton in the Dax ton scale.

Nytimes.co.
72.2% at least one dose and Covid hospitalizations by state are exactly what they are   Hawaii is setting all time records.

Florida has 19.5 million more people.

We worried about the staffing issues here justwin or are we good?

The staffing issues are a real problem and I've witnessed firsthand the problems the lack of staffing can cause.  I'm also 100% opposed to any kind of government mask mandate (and government bans on mask mandates).  Any business that wants to do have a mask mandate should be able to do so, but none should be forced.

California hospitalizations equaling and surpassing the 2020 summer surge. Still 15 million unvaccinated.   Many hospitalized are vaccinated.

Is Gav trying to kill people?

You really don't understand per capita do you?  Hawaii is 20% per capita of Florida's numbers.  No wonder you believed idiots like Trump.

Dax.  My man.  This isn't looking good for you.  a) I didn't say anything about tourists b) tourists aren't included in NYTimes case numbers.  Maybe this will help given you can't navigate to nytimes.com on your own

Hawaii - 42 cases per 100,000 residents (700 average new cases)
Florida - 114 cases per 100,000 residents (24,517 average new cases)

Give back your degree.  I used to think you were just willfully playing with the stats, now I get you just don't understand them.

So you're triggered by the fact that Hawaii has surpassed it's all time record Covid hospitalizations and they need another 500 hospital personnel to fly in from the mainland to assist?

Florida is 15 times the size of Hawaii in population and relative to the influx of tourists by volume it drowns Hawaii, and your fellow CoronaBro's have all mentioned tourism.

I'm horrified by your inability to understand things like, oh, 70 to 80 million more visitors per year, one state over the other.

Just admit that the ProgFascist Movement (your movement) is absolutely terrified that DeSantis is going to run against your lying mentally incapacitated old man currently running a clown car administration and you've already had one presidential hopeful resign in disgrace.

don't forget that he's also banning schools from requiring masks!

Agree with all that, for sure. MAGA politicking has the nasty side effect of increasing the number of covid cases.

Making money from Regeneron, on the other hand, requires that there are covid cases. There is a direct incentive there to actively increase the number of covid cases.

DeSantis is currently out on tour VERY actively promoting Regeneron. Maybe that's simply a matter of MAGA politicking. ???

I seriously think it's MAGA politicking more than anything. Which I don't think is any less evil than him or his donors trying to make money from Regeneron.

I bet tourism is at a post-pandemic high in Hawaii

It is, and a majority of the hospitalizations are NOT tourists.

The majority of hospitalizations are NOT vaccinated

lol yeah I said that in my previous post.  In this instance I was replying to a post about tourism
