Hawaii: 1.5 years of masks, high compliance, 65% vax rate
Just set a new Covid hospitalization record
And your point is?
High vax and mask usage. Still crap tons of
Covid. All that CoronaBro melting down about those things and Hawaii operating in a CoronaBro approved manner and yet is still overrun with the virus.
High vax places in other parts of the world. Covid Level 4: High Risk.

As usual you fail to provide any context... I have pretty much been following their covid situation from the beginning. We have had to reschedule our trip to Maui three times starting April 2020. Hawaii had been completely shut down to any incoming tourists for majority of the pandemic. Now they are allowing unvaccinated tourists with a negative test 72 hours in advance, or you can go without a test and unvaccinated and quarantine, which many locals are not doing.
There are currently around 300 covid patients in hospitals for the entire state.
“So 274 of those individuals are unvaccinated and the other 26 have waning immunity, they’re very old, they’re our kupuna in general,” explained Lt. Governor Josh Green.
https://www.khon2.com/top-stories/curfew-could-be-implemented-as-hospitalizations-cases-continue-to-soar/Maui has 31 total in the hospital and they are all unvaccinated.
https://mauinow.com/2021/08/17/all-31-maui-covid-19-hospitalizations-are-unvaccinated-10-are-40-years-and-younger/Just because they have a high rate of 65%, that still means 35% of them aren't. There are still a lot of unvaccinated people in Hawaii and they are the ones in the hospitals setting said records, just like everywhere else.
