When are you post-vaccine maskers going to feel comfortable unmasking and going back to life as usual?

When the risk of me infecting my children is gone or close to gone.

To be clear, the risk might be gone already but I don't think there's enough data to confirm. I could be wrong though.

Well we know you can still get COVID after getting the vaccine, we know some variants are breaking thru easier than others, we know the rates of kids getting COVID is increasing, so I have no idea how one could assume the risk is gone.

One of my schools has 47 current active student cases. 127 new student cases on the district this week and over 600 students quarantined.

That article was explicit in saying that a reduced viral load doesn't necessarily mean less infections because there isn't enough info on infectious dose. Which, by the way, if we don't know how much infectious dose is just enough, how in the hell could anyone say with any confidence what a prolonged exposure is and what that even means?

I'm agree with you, we don't know enough yet. (I don't think we know the rates of kids getting Covid are increasing overall despite rates in your area, though)

So you don't believe the data coming out that your chance of getting it at all or don't think there is enough data yet? The studies have been pretty consistent.

I get wanting to protect your kids to the nth degree possible though.

I definitely agree with dax that being competent at handling the covid crises is actually an extremely low bar that even a mentally incapacitated old man can handle if they aren't out in the media telling everyone that the whole thing is a hoax.

I was told by ProgFascists both on a national level and a resident level that the new administration was going to kick Covid's ass and bring new and innovative measures to the fight against Covid, if new innovative measures are:  Wear masks, social distance and get vaccinated, then this administration is batting it out of the park.

Great job by the Biden administration at executing a plan that everyone was told about months ago and was told exactly how many vaccines would be produced, the time frame they would be produced and the timeframe they would be hitting the market . . . months ago.
