Yes, both of my parents are still alive. In fact, today is my mom's birthday. She had me when she was well into her 30's which wasn't as common as it is now. That mailman was a stud, apparently.

She is the poster child for Kansas-Germanic toughness.

a week over week decline while we chip is good news. most of what i have seen is the chips can handle the variant to the extent it prevents hospitalization

Yeah. The chip generates antibodies against a variety of binding sites on the spike protein (not just one site like a monoclonal antibody). The mutants would have to hide from all of those antibodies to totally escape. The key is getting infections to a low enough level that more mutants can't emerge.

Time to dole out one dose to more people and pass out the booster this summer.

Where did ya see that, was efficacy defined as death or hospitalization, just curious. That's p great news, haven't read how the public in the UK responded to the change in dosing regime, did remember some talk of vaccine nationalism but don't know how widespread that really was.
