It's a lot more important that hundreds of millions of doses get administered over the next few months than it is that the right people get those doses.
Obviously it would be best if you vaccinate hundreds of millions in the right order

Only if you have a way to do that without taking more time.

I don’t think we have enough for that number until May
Fauci said March to April will be open to anybody. I assume that is getting to the 100M range.

Damn...I haven't seen any stories re. why Kansas is so far behind.  Anyone know of any articles specifically addressing Kansas' relative slowness?

Fauci is a known liar unfortunately, The way things are going it might devolve into first come first serve quickly anyway.  The sentiment I get from my general circle and social media is a crap ton of people aren’t going anywhere near a vaccine initially.

a townie pharmacy near me got chosen to do the distribution for, like, a huge amount of it. I don't know why and it seems weird.

Getting j&j and the Oxford one online jan/Feb would be huge obviously. Have our choice of chips!

At this stage we have very few doses so it’s more important to be judicious.  It’s a pretty simple concept.

That doesn’t seem to Jive with what Phil is saying in regards to scarcity.

I mean we don't have enough doses to just open it up of course but it doesn't seem we are super efficient at getting the doses we have to the people we want to get it first ASAP based on the numbers.

Yeah, I think the people who are administering the doses don't have a backup person to give them to for the people who tell them they don't want one. A first come first serve method of distribution would generate massive interest and the narrative the old dumbasses are generating would switch from "Nobody wants one. This must be dangerous" to "Gee, everyone is getting this vaccine. I'd better pay attention so I can get one the next time the hospital has them."

I thought you said feb/mar basically anyone that wanted one could get one? At any rate I don’t think scarcity is the issue as Mr Carnes believes.  We haven’t even been able to administer 1/3rd of the doses we do already have.

That's what Fauci said but then someone called him a big hairy liar?  Maybe he's basing that on J&J and AstraZeneca ones being approved on top of the ones we already have.

Yet again before MAGA people puff their chest and pull a whataboutism....335k+ dead and rising, 3500+ dead yesterday 150k+ test positive in the USA...but by all means say something about other nations who in wave two were in better position starting off and struggling this much....doesnt leave alot of hope for the USA.....whereas the USA plan was it's a hoax/ it'll disappear/ election day virus due to MAGA lies...but i have my suspicion that magically on January 20, 2021 at 12:01...MAGA people will be screaming 1 is too many, why isn't the federal government getting more involved (after a year practically blaming the states despite the fact a virus does not recognize the border of Kansas/Nebraska and turn around)....along with their magical beliefs about Debt/Deficit/Honesty/Ethics/Reality/Evidence returning..
Germany surpasses 1,000 daily Covid-19 related deaths

Meanwhile, one German city says they've got mitigation locked and loaded (what?  No national effort led by Merkel?)

https://www.wsj.com/articles/german-town-finds-a-blueprint-for-lowering-covid-19-deaths-11609257334

If there's one dude who repeatedly never gets it, it's this guy.

Meanwhile the GLOBAL pandemic just continues.

not to take anything away with the speed of vaccine development and testing, which was a goddamn miracle.  but, distribution, in both design and execution, has started poorly and it's not ungrateful to say so.

Honestly, I have trouble coming up with reasons congress shouldn't repeal Section 230 after reading that nursing home statistic. I guess it's possible the stat is made up or something.
