Contact tracing apps. Another thing the feds should have led versus telling each state to do their own. I believe super smart Phil said this a few months ago.

TIME: Why Aren't Contact Tracing Apps Working?.
https://time.com/5905772/covid-19-contact-tracing-apps/
They're useless even at the federal level in the US
Tell me more. Why US specifically?

Maybe they were never going to do anything but having 50 of them was never going to work.

privacy concerns keep people from downloading the app, zero quarantine enforcement for suspected cases, insufficient testing for suspected cases so they don't need to quarantine.

It would be interesting to find clusters but it looks like the interface doesn't record the location of infection which makes it all seem pretty useless

I know the ownership there. They also own Pool House and are easily one of the most cautious/responsible businesses in town.

Today is a “Trump should have gone all big brother/dictator” day for CoronaBro Phil.

At some point they’ll be a flip back to full blown Federalism.

I was following shawnee mission schools school board meeting on twitter and they basically have given up being serious about contact tracing because parents aren't cooperating with the tracers, "berating school nurses"

Yes agree, which is why I hesitated to post name. It is like you get penalized for taking precautions meanwhile Kites...

Although they have been shutting down more places in Aggieville although they reopen with alarming speed and They aren’t doing any contract tracing so what is the point.

I'm immersed in technology every single day, Phil.

It wasn't that long ago that your movement was applauding Apple for not giving the Feds the codes to crack Iphones.   Now drama queens like you are demanding tracking apps.   Prior to becoming fully assimilated with The Man, your movement lost its collective crap about any notion of spying or tracking.

Your movement contradicts themselves more than our leading infectious disease experts, so, that's a lot of contradicting.

FYI Phil, dax is intentionally missing the point. He understands the difference between an opt-in program that syncs across phone platforms and government mandated tracking.

They're shutting down the Aggieville bars because of noncompliance, not because of links to specific outbreaks. If they agree to be compliant they open up (seemingly immediately). The difference this time around though is that these are court ordered shut downs so presumably they can be punished w/ contempt of court if they continue to be noncompliant.  :dunno:

The point is easily understood by most, so that excludes you.

US Chief infectious disease expert (and one of the highest paid Federal employees) spends just under a full month telling people not to wear masks.  In fact, tells the American people that masks are a bad thing throughout that period.

Then does a complete 180 after a critical time period has already come and gone.   Still gainfully employed.

#1 on the charts, beating out Bill “go party” DeBlasio and GKC Grandma Killing Cuomo.

So, I have seen some pretty widespread mask compliance in KC, MO and they are shattering records.

Dude, why on earth do u keep bringing this up?  We get it, and it probably had a very minimal impact on things overall.

If bars and restaurants are packed and unmasked, what people are doing at the grocery store and Walgreens is just a drop in the bucket.

Significant portion of my office that came back from WFH, is now back to WFH, and we're being given basically the green light to do so at our discretion

yeah, and if if bars and restaurants are packed, everyone is unmasked except staff.

Are churches wide open in JOco? I assume they are, and that's also really bad and probably has poor mask compliance

my church in KCMO is masked and distanced fwiw.  i haven't seen "packed" bars/restaurants also fwiw, but i haven't exactly been tearing up the KC nightlife scene.
