We have a vaccine now, probably/hopefully. Who TF knows which one though. And I applaud the “get your asses ready” approach. But we will not be ready for mass rollouts by then. there are plenty of trustworthy scientists and doctors out there who will tell us whether or not to trust the CDC. Gottlieb is a great example.

Not to restate the obvious but there will be a absolute ton of college (and HS, and elementary) who have this and have no idea.  And they will continue, literally forever until there is a really good vaccine.  The breathless reporting of it is really counterproductive.

I think looking Illinois is useful because they  show that even if you have a pretty good plan there's not much you can do to keep it from spreading. Like we know in places like Bama and KSU with basically no plan it's gonna spread like crazy and we just hope it doesn't spread to the old people in town

Agreed.  It's not going anywhere.  You can't stay home forever because the minute you stop staying home, there it is.  I am not advocating the "sorry olds, stay home" but if you are an old you should definitely be staying home.  I'm not into being helpless but I think we kind of are.  And it really sucks that DQ doesn't post hopeful stats ITT for me.  selfish prick
