good thread.

Can you tldnr on why?
All the different strains spread at similar rates

Thank you.  So the Dax talking point of "we got a super fast transmission strain which is why Trump is the best president ever and this isn't his fault" talking point is pretty much invalid.  Cool.

Actually I summarized that wrong. Mutations were neutral or less contagious

I also keep dreaming about going to Vegas when the Chiefs are playing there in November but know that its just a pipe dream.

I'm going in October but I've written off NFL attendance this year. Love to be wrong.

Going to gamble? Craps and BJ are my games but I cant imagine they will allow people 12 people at a craps table all touching the same dice and I dont think i would feel comfortable.

What I've read is every table game is like every 3rd space open. They clean the dice between each shooter.

The SARS COVID 19 virus already contains components of a known mildly symptomatic super contagion, dummy.  It’s combined with SARS.  It’s also been classified as human transmission ready right out of the gate.  I’ve already posted about this.  You’re days behind as always.

Yeah

You're an amazing eff stick sometimes.   I've already discussed this.

SARS-COVID19 is 100 times more contagious than just SARS.

SARS-COVID19 was human transmissible right out of the gate, Cornell Vet Med classified that as "extremely rare" for this type of virus.  Asymptomatic spread, per Princeton is a natural evolution of the virus.

Stick to spit balling models and Twittersphere Randos who don't know crap.

LOL at more transmissible strains, it's already a massively transmittable virus because of the combinations that make up the virus itself.

Your post was all bullshit fluff, cRusty.

An analysis of the lineage of SARS-CoV-2 showed it shares properties of the closely related SARS-CoV-1, which first appeared in humans in 2003 and is lethal but not highly contagious, and HCoV-HKU1, a highly transmissible but relatively benign human coronavirus. SARS-CoV-2 is both highly transmissible and lethal.

“It’s got this strange combination of both properties,” Whittaker said, noting the researchers are focused on further study of this structural loop and the sequence of four amino acids. “The prediction is that that loop is very important to transmissibility or stability, or both.”

I guess all of those researchers working on the Spike D614G mutation of Covid-19 a few weeks ago are just a giant collection of dumbasses.   :frown:

One particular subtype with a non-silent (Aspartate to Glycine) mutation at 614th position of the Spike protein (D614G) rapidly outcompeted other pre-existing subtypes,

An analysis of 82 coronavirus strains in India showed that nearly 50 per cent of these strains have the new mutation

This is mildly misleading because that "out-competition" is heavily reliant upon the genetic make-up of the host

Translation:  There is no definitive answers as of yet, anyone saying that they have definitive answers or implying that they do is a total and complete dumbass.   Anyone that believes that any SARS-Covid-19 study to dates is the definitive answer is a total moron.
