Oh, btw, who was it here at gE that first alerted you numbnuts that Fauci was a lying sack of crap about a week ago.

 :buh-bye:

What exactly are you accusing Fauci of??

Potentially treason against the United States of America, but hopefully it will only turn out to be crimes against humanity when its all said and done.  He seems like a really nice guy, so I'd hate for anything bad to happen with the good doctor.

Looks like the KC metro will be locking down 30 more days.  :White flag:

My company told me today, there’s no way I’m going back to work until at least June. That’s the new timeline for all aspects of the dental field these days. Maybe take up golfing and go to a secluded golf range Outside downtown and hit balls to let loose during this time downtown.

dentistry seems like one of those services people are likely to avoid for a while.

My daughter is in braces and was due for an adjustment right after shelter in place started. Not sure what we're gonna do because the office didn't return our calls. I might try again since it's sorta settled down.

Oral health seems pretty important during these times, but I get this view point as well. Lot’s of people out their in miserable cases that can’t be taken care of right now. Seems more essential than most businesses I see open right now from the sidelines, but I’m obviously bitter AF right now.

5% of our offices are open for emergency cases only (300+ offices nation wide), but those are mostly for older folks that were in mid denture procedures left out to dry, after everyone closed shop, and couldn’t do the follow up finish.

Still waiting to hear back. System crashed after I thought I had everything filled out last night. Still can’t get back into the site as of right now.

Booked brunch for the 16th.
Looks like the mask I made today and wore for the first time was a wise investment of my time. I’m sick of this crap too but know this is way bigger than me. It’s gonna be like this for a long time.

Also, here is my homemade mask from an old K-State Fiesta Bowl t-shirt. The “filter” was the soft packing plastic/foam/idk what the eff from one of my monitors. I still have a crap load of it left so I can wash the fabric and cut a new piece for a new filter.

The nylon rope stuff I bought 300 feet(not a typo) of a decade ago. The company was Survival Straps and it’s what they made their bracelets/necklaces/gear from. Upon looking I guess they went out of business. Probably donate most of it because it could help make more masks.

The hooks are from a tool set I bought and were meant for hanging stuff on the wall. Ironically I made this today and my complex sent out instructions on how to sew and make non-sew masks a few hours after I made mine. It’s actually pretty comfortable because of the way the hooks face.

I need to draw a design on the front of it. Maybe a super shitty freestyle powercat

no but you're probably fine just using the t-shirt material. the stuff from your monitor won't filter crap but you might inhale nasty fumes or particles instead

Oh it passes the spit test, nothing is getting through this stuff. I’ll just cut 9 more pieces of tshirt up and replace with that.

I just found a ton of masks I bought as a joke for a costume so I'm set for phase 2. I had been wearing scarves the couple time I went out since where I thought I'd be in tight proximity to people.
