If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Has any other country handled this worse?  China a a runner up given they tried to hide it at first.

First decrease in number of new daily cases happened yesterday.

Not from the charts I have been looking at. Maybe the first daily increase that was less than 30% in a while, but still went up

First decrease in number of new daily cases happened yesterday.

Seems far too early for any of the expected social distancing effects and is probably related to limited testing procedures.  Good news, but I'd take it with a mountain of salt.

The concept of testing for antibodies and giving a hall pass to folks who have already built immunity is an interesting one. Seems way too early now but in a couple of months I wonder if that would be more widespread.

Looks to be anomalous based on what day new cases are counted on.  The source I am looking at had app. 3k more counted for 3-23.

I guess that let's people know their own risk, unless the virus mutates right?

Yeah, it's impossible to tell if it's a real change in trajectory until you have multiple days worth of reliable data

my wife's hospital still has a six day lead time for covid tests. They have people in the morgue waiting on test results (I guess they don't want to send them to mortuary's if there's covid in them)

this is very anecdotal but I think it highlights that there's gonna be quite a bit of noise for a while

Which is exactly why messaging from the President is so important here. People under shelter in place orders are going to assume they’re not doing any good because the numbers will keep going up for weeks.

China almost definitely handled it worse considering they lied and continue to do so. I don't think there's any way in hell Italy has more deaths than China does, it defies logic.

Long time punchline, Ohio, continues to be way ahead of the rest of the country in handling this crisis.

China had clinics and a process in place already from SARS epidemics. They also have the ability to lock down large segments of their population on a moment’s notice.

There is definitely reason to think they could come out better than other developed countries with better healthcare. Still plenty of reason to doubt their numbers.

Welding people into their homes and executing any stragglers will do wonders for containment.

Speaking of executions, No. Korea is probably pretty interesting about now.

it's hard for America to take any sort of moral high ground if senators like Loffler and Burr quietly unloaded stocks because they thought crap was going to get real bad but did nothing to actually help with the outbreak or when the president is publicly talking about not letting the cruise ship dock because he wanted his numbers to look better
