The misinformation she is speaking about is likely about Chinese people and Chinese Americans and nothing about America's policy on coronavirus seeing as if we had no defined policy at that time.

Cuomo has read the room better than Sanders and his fellow socialists. As ideologues, democratic socialists see a crisis and immediately move to exploit the crisis in order to advance their ideology. But most people, in the middle of a crisis, just want their leaders to address the crisis, not exploit it.

there may well be some clever strategy around advancing the relief bill through congress that necessitates the seemingly extraneous material, but taking things at face value, i'm surprised to see pelosi choosing the sanders avenue rather than cuomo's path for the stimulus bill (quote is from the article; the article doesn't talk about the stimulus bill).

Yeah I mean I agree the raw number is important. Just don’t see the point of comparing raw # of deaths (not even cases) side by side for areas with vastly different population numbers. If you took the exact same mitigation strategy and implemented it in a place with 1k, 10k, and 100k people, the death toll would still be way different.

I think he truly believes it's not a serious matter. And he only deferred to experts because his attempts to turn around the stock market quickly had failed. Now, he thinks the experts have failed to do so and he's done with their advice.

The economy is not going to do well with a health system completed overran and people dying from COVID and from normal stuff that can't be fixed in hospitals due to COVID overrun.

This is the only way they can frame it for it to click for this guy.  We have the game plan from the east, lock down, get it under control, get relief to businesses and individuals and deal with it.  Opening early and dragging this out will make it 100x worse.  JFC this isn't difficult to understand.
