On December 12, 2022, at approximately 12:15 a.m., the Austin Police Department (APD) received a 9-1-1 call for a disturbance in the 1900 block of Vista Lane. The caller reported the disturbance was no longer ongoing and one of the individuals had left the house. APD officers responded and located a woman who stated she had been assaulted and strangled by Christopher Michael Beard.

If that was my girlfriend, as it was reported for Beard, and I didn't do that, I would pursue false allegation charges and I would sue the crap out of her. I'm going to assume that none of this will happen and that, to me, maybe unfairly, will speak volumes about his innocence or lack thereof.

NEW: The Statesman has obtained Chris Beard's arrest affidavit.

A woman told police Beard "choked me, threw me off the bed, bit me, bruises all over my leg, throwing me around, and going nuts."

She said the choking lasted for five seconds and impeded her breathing, police say.

The good news, Texas is a state that doesn't need cooperation from the complainant,  if there was physical evidence, along with the 911 call, they'll still prosecute.

FWIW, it has been rumored that Beard suffers from the same affliction as Scott Frost, and I tend to believe those rumors.
