I think Dean will be a pretty great b-ball alum as well. I think we will see him at a lot of Cats games/events going forward.

Yup, hope he has season ticks right at half court.... oh crap, I forgot there's a 14 foot aisle right there so no one can ever sit there

a pretty big plus that wade has going in his favor is that he is a kansas kid. for some reason that makes a difference in how people think of players. like, people love sproles and jordy but they love them a lot more because they both grew up in ks and went to ks highschools. if barry was from abilene and dean was from wisconsin, it would be amazing how much more love bbj would get and how much less dean would get. boom there's a new take for everyone.
You mean like how Ed Nealy was a Kansas kid and therefore has his jersey hanging in the rafters.  And is more remembered and revered than Blackman and Mitch.
(For you that don't know KSU basketball, Ed Nealy is the all time leading rebounder and played for the Bulls)

Fans love great KSU players no matter where they are from.

He was probably revered back when people who watched him play were alive

More remembered than Blackman and Mitch?  I've never heard of the guy, but if you say so.

Caste EMAWs have selective  memory.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Yes same, but I never seek out that info.

cat97 was being pithy and sarcastic to assert that kansans actually AREN'T given preferential treatment from KSU basketball fans.

Semi Ojeleye would maybe have been my favorite Kansas kid.  Not sure who it is in the last decade, maybe nino.

It really sucks that he's got the Walton/Sabonis/Bowie foot issue.

Still, I dont think he's rafter worthy. Helluva fun team he played on and I'll always wish he had The Flush's feet.

Seriously, him being betrayed by his feet just makes me feel bad for the guy.

Also, LOVED David Hoskins. The year Huggs took the Cats to Ames and we beat the flood aggies on their court, I remember DH grabbing a big OREB for a put back and one, and DH flexed those guns at the crowd. ISU fans didn't like DH doing that.

I was upset that he worked so hard and never got to play in an NCAA tourney game.
