Talk about an impressive debut for NET. Of the 1-4 seeds, 14 of them advanced to the S16. Only Kansas and (a Wade-less) Kansas State failed.

This amount of chalk is almost unprecedented. Looks like the same exact result happened once before in 2009, where the S16 regions were 1 2 3 4, 1 2 3 4, 1 2 3 5, and 1 2 3 12.

I picked a ton of chalk this year - got 13 of the S16. Missed only on Marquette (Fl State), Wisconsin (Oregon), and Cincinnati (Tennessee).
I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.

Kansas also ended the season with a significantly different team than the one who helped achieve such a high NET ranking, so that is very impressive when you put it that way.

It’s the area under the basket where you can’t be called for a charge.  I was making the statement in jest but I suppose mid majors shoot more 3’s and take more charges potentially.

He didn't count Gonzaga as a mid major so I have to wonder about his methodology. Did he count them at some point then stopped counting them. What about Memphis? BYU? Butler at one point was certainly a mid major, are they now? For consistency sakes he should just take the top 6 or 7 conferences. Also, it should be a percentage because the number of "mid majors" vary each year. I saw something that had them as trending low until the last two seasons.

Also Wichita State 2013?  Loyola Chicago last year?  Since they were both Missouri Valley at the time, is that a top conference, or below mid-major?

And why not go back to 1985, when 64 teams started, why choose 2000? Because the play-in game started that year?
