Anyone watch Hillbilly Elegy yet? The reviews have been mixed, I don't watch a lot of movies and I really don't want to waste my time on a dud.

I may or may not have made this point last year too but The Gremlins is the most underrated Christmas movie OAT.

almost watched it yesterday. it's been thirty years. is it just funny or what? i barely remember it.

Funny but not hilarious, a little scary but not frightening or gory. It's entertaining and moves very fast, doesn't drag at all. The beginning is kinda 80's politically incorrect but it's funny to see how relic'y it is. I'm pretty sure your kids are around the same age as mine, watch it with them.

This little exchange inspired me to watch Gremlins last night for the first time in who knows how many years and yeah it's great, it totally holds up.  Phoebe Cates   :Jeffy:, even though she's covered up in cold weather clothing.  Also spotted Jonathan Banks in a minor role!  Final interesting tidbit, the "town square" setting for this movie is the same one used for Back to the Future.

I heard the clip about the good terminator, the bad terminator and the neutral terminator and decided to pass.

Started watching Gremlins last night because of this thread.  Man, people in the 80s were so dumb.  There were just 3 rules!

80s and 90s PG ratings are incredible vs what people expect today.

Major League and Despicable Me are both PG.

Major League 2 is PG, Major League is R. I have both movies on vhs, DVD, and on my DVR

Brawl in Cell Block 99.  0/7.

I gave it an hour. It's a horrible movie. Shitty porn acting without the actual porn.
