Chodecat won’t watch that movie in a million years unless there’s a skunk smell walking into the theater and a grimy Dictator beating America. Try again!

From what I've heard, it's shot like birdman aka the illusion of one constant take, which if you've ever read this thread, you know that scratches me right where I itch

Not underground enough for chode, I’m surprised he’s giving it a shot. Which side do you think he’ll root for? 🤞

Correct it looks like a single continuous shot and knowing that gave me a greater appreciation of the viewing experience. I know they said when they were shooting they would have long periods of down time bc it was overcast when the scene started so they would have to stop shooting and wait for hours until the sky was sufficiently overcast again to maintain the continuity.

1917 was v good. Very intense. Visually stunning

I’ve been jazzed about this movie coming out.  After learning more about WWI (thank you Hardcore History) I find it much more interesting and intense than WWII.

Late to the party but I watched Paddington 2 the other night. What an absolute DELIGHT. They should make more movies like that.

Going to try and see Uncut Gems next week.

I really liked Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Felt more like a series of really good short films than a cohesive movie plotline but that's not a complaint

Agreed, Dan Carlin is a large part of why I find WWI so fascinating

I agree.  I liked just watching good actors and director do stuff, and didn't really mind that it was long and a little WTF at points.

I loved that movie, because who could hate Pitt and Leo? However, is it just me or did I feel like they spent way too much time at Manson’s ranch?

Sometimes I sit down to watch a new movie, but then I end up watching Out Cold for the 1,000th time and play on my phone.

This is on HBO right now and I saw it and watched it last night for the time in forever. It’s still a good movie.

Once upon a time made me legit laugh out loud when Leo is talking to the neighbor explaining what happened after the break in.

1917 is pretty great. Recommend
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.
