I dipped while playing my senior season in high school.
These days, everyone's got to be goddam Karen about everything.

The worst was sliding and smashing your Copenhagen can.

Had a big ass dip in playing CF one game and dove for a line drive, smashed my face into the ground and ended up swallowing my entire pinch. Spent the rest of the game on the bench puking my brains out.

Nice facility, and I appreciate that they want to take care of it. But that rule is completely unfair in tournament play as it penalizes more than the team that forfeits.
For those that don't know, tournaments are typically two games on Saturday for seeding in a bracket on Sunday. It makes for a long weekend for families, but is really fun for the boys. A lot of baseball crammed into a weekend.
This rule bit my son's team last year. They made the finals, but the other semifinal game ended in the first inning due to this rule. Thus, the team we played in the finals had an extra game's worth of pitchers available. Completely unfair, as after 5ish games, pitch counts are huge.
If they want to enforce that rule, eject the player/manager/whoever, but make the game continue. Ruined the tournament for our kids.

1. seed shells are organic, so what do they do about leaf litter and other biomass that enters the field?
2. yes the socialist hivemind has taken over. was just talking about this today. it started after 9/11 with a program called Infragard, which was a basically a nationwide neighborhood watch network program by the FBI. Covid came and you were supposed to dime your neighbor out for having fun cause "we're all in this together". Its an angrier world and people no longer know how to mind their own business.
