i'm not convinced he's a bad option or any worse than SL

i am pissed that snyder can't let go and now apparently has insisted that he will be involved in naming part of the new coach's staff (sean), while he casts his already huge shadow over the program in his newly appointed position as special ambassador. it's bad enough following the guy and coaching in the stadium named after him.

I'm way more ok w/ Sean kept as STC than I am Bill as "ambassador". You can't deny how good our special teams have been.

Yeah I think there are legit good reasons to keep Sean on staff, but if it’s a deal breaker for our top candidate then bye Sean and Bill you’re fired.

To give Gene a little credit though, the difference between Snyder stepping down and being fired is in the millions of dollars to the school. So a little negotiation is appropriate.

you don't need leverage when you have an ad who insists on doing things "the right way"

and the issue isn't whether or not sean is qualified to stay on, it's that the new coach is being forced to keep him on.

I mean, the whole CK thing is the give away.

As for the #2 thing, I hope Gene is savvy enough to say yes, negotiate a hilariously low buy out, hire the new coach, then cut Sean a check and tell him to GTFO.

Nope, Sean is an absolute disaster right now and it would be huge mistake to have him on staff.

He needs to take some time away from football or find another job outside of MHK. (maybe find a job at K-State in some admin role, but far far away from football)
