Nah. Intent matters. I don’t know much, but I believe Gene and Co. put a full court press on BV, who is also far and away my first choice as well.

LittreLL would be a pretty great hire all things considered. He’s young, energetic and has shown to be a very good offensive mind who has developed strong recruiting ties to No. Texas, which is great for a team that plays at least 4 Texas teams a year.

If he has success and stays, great. If he has success and leaves, nbd. If he fails, that may suck, but he may still serve as a bridge to BV via allowing him not to follow Snyder.

The only real advantage to 3-5 years of Leavitt imo is continuity of Snyderish culture dynamics if BV would be into that type of thing for the future. But who knows if that is even a consideration for BV.

Getting onboard with LittreLL should be easy for any Cat fan.

I’m ready to be very satisfied and can’t wait for the possibility of screaming my ass off for The LittreLL-led Cats at BSFS beginning next season.

Aside from that the new coach (LittreLL, as first reported by Pete of goEMAW.com) needs to completely be his own guy, it would be impossible because the only Cortez shoes in the world are locked up in a vault for LHC Bill Snyder's exclusive use, or so I've heard.

-Bill is retiring tomorrow
-Bill wanted to take another run at it and did not want to go.
-Sean had to get involved and convince him to preserve his legacy and not ruin 2.0 by getting fired.
-Venzy was approached and said no
-Leavitt was interviewed and Gene didn't feel he was the right fit
-Seth LittreLL said yes and will be introduced as the next head football coach at Kansas State University on Monday.

I've been pissed at Snyder for dragging this out and have wanted him gone. If that second point is true, in some ways that makes me feel bad for the man. That he thought that was even possible.

Is a tuck opinion but I agree. I think it's time for him to step down, whole heartedly. But I want him to want to step down.

the 2nd point is correct, but i concur with your point........this was very difficult for Bill.....let's face it, this is all he really knows how to do.......i truly hope he can find some happiness going to catbacker functions, shakin hands and kissing babies......i hope when this settles down, he can find the enjoyment of being LHC Bill Snyder, because there is quite a bit of value in that......if he wants, he can still have a positive impact on the University, probably in ways he has never even thought of

look, he was a damn good coach of some damn good football teams......and that's the way i will always think of him..
