I do like your idea that there is a giant text box containing a ranked ordering of all existing websites which can be manipulated via drag and drop. Actually, I do not like that idea. It's ridiculous.

Yeah, that's how it works, just checking off boxes on domains "rollingeyes

I post 2 articles that say as plain as day that Google is in the business of censorship or specifically manipulation of access (or non access)  to information on the web.   Ya know the ol WWW and derivatives thereof, a highly fluid environment.

I thought this started because you were telling us that it would be a simple thing to do. Now, you're saying it's not so simple???   :dunno:

What we all need is a new search engine that will properly praise dear leaders many wins and not bring up these extremist views like his own Twitter feed.

You should create it Dax.... You'd make a mint selling gun ads and the like in your region.

The exact opposite in fact.

The hilarity of it is that Google openly admits that they have the in house horsepower to tweak their algorithms at a rate of nearly twice per day.

They also openly admit that they have the ability to content filter in real time.  To the point that they appear to be saying they'll maintain a search engine to satisfy the censorship demands of China.

It's interesting to me that the same person can oppose something like net neutrality but also get all pissed off about google having the ability to alter search results.

 because everyone with a brain knows that most ISP have already said they're not going to block anything, and of course libbots have taken as far as demanding huge Internet access for nothing and also trying to tell ISP's that they can't prioritize traffic.   Prioritization is not censorship . . . only dummies aka LibBots think that.   FFS, if you're accessing the Internet from your work, if you're a big enough entity, your IT department may already be prioritizing the traffic.

Is that sort of like how Google said they're not going to alter their search results, dax, or is it different?

Prioritization has to do with bandwidth utilization.   It has nothing to do with search results on search engines.

LibBot7Dork keeps LOL'ing because as always, he doesn't have a clue.

But let's get back to the core issue of the thread and the resident LibBot stance that it's just not feasible.

Google:  We alter our algorithms as much as 5-600 times a year.   Resident LibBots:  Algorithm manipulation is not feasible

Google:  We're going to build China a huge censored search engine.   Resident LibBots:  Not feasible

Google basically admits they're in the political censorship business based on paying customer demands.  Resident LibBots:  Not feasible, nothing to be concerned about.
