It isn’t common at a school where tuition was under $6k a year and rent was another $3-5k a year, like it was for you, me, and many of our friends at KSU in the mid 2000s.

Compound interest is a hell of a thing. The earlier you start the more it grows. I’m just saying you put $20 away here, $30 away there when you are 18-19-20 and don’t touch it, cool crap happens.

when my mother spoke on the phone with her family, her accent was instantaneously different. she immediately reverted back to good old fashioned kansan as soon as she got off the phone.
