How is that even close to a personal attack? Ppl my age (34) are fighting college loan debt most of their life’s after college. At least the peeps who’s parents didn’t pay for it. Age discrimination Attack?

Good grief. She openly talked about her savings and came out recently that she couldn’t afford DC rent or Healthcare. It’s just funny. Single ppl in my generation that went to school on student loans have zero savings. I’m lol’ing at her that she makes these claims when she obviously had the $. I agree, I don’t know people’s savings either, until they openly share it like she did.

Yes, even PM’d back and forth with Rusty about all the options!  It was $400 + $100 to dude vs. about $1500.

The taskrabbit people that ikea partners with to assemble their crap do appear to be more expensive in DC.

My family made too much $ for grants and didn’t help me in college. I made the minimum of state funded loans at $4500 a year (at the time) which meant my parents signed me up for private loans for the rest, which are OMG eff my life crap, I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. It’s been well documented here before, but ppl like Dara and Amanda for KSU have came out with this subject lately on twitter, which I’m sure many follow. I’ve been fortunate enough to work my way into a position where I’ll have my private loans paid off in two years, but your example is a dream work for most grads.

It isn’t common at a school where tuition was under $6k a year and rent was another $3-5k a year, like it was for you, me, and many of our friends at KSU in the mid 2000s.
