I guess I just hate winter more than most. Like, i played golf the other day when it was like 110 heat index. It was rough, but I just grabbed shade when I could and hydrated. I don't know what the winter equivalent of 110 is, but I know that if you go outside for 3 hours, A) you will die, and B) it will be dark outside. Winter sucks ass.

Winter typically has one or two weeks that are unbearably cold. Outside of that, as long as the sun is up, it's just a little crisp. This summer has been mild, but a lot of summers have entire months that range from mid-90s to 100s.

I was rereading this thread and one of Dlew's talking points is he doesn't like hoodies and layers. I mean is he on a really bad drug or something?

You know what would make things better?  More layers!

One interesting thought experiment is to look at your monthly steps.  Are they higher in summertime months or colder time months?  Every year for the last 5 years, December/January/February/March are my lowest stepcount months.

Spent the afternoon at the pool. Not going to be able to do that in a couple of months unless I move to Miami.

I went to the pool from 2:30 to 4:30 on Sunday and it was WOOF. Like being in the pool was fine but as soon as I got out to read a book or lay on a lawn chair it was oppressively hot.

I'm definitely looking forward to temps in the 70's for KC next week.

Also I'm completely over the cicada's. I'm currently outside on the back deck since its finally under 90 degrees catching up on the interwebz for the day and the cicada's are deafening. I don't remember them being this bad normally, typically its just background noise but right now its God awful loud.

Still better than February though.
