That's a good point..In Chicago bad weather is something most people have to actually confront and walk around in.  I remember when I was staying at your old old place, I'd wake up, see it was a -17 wind chill outside, and be crushed knowing that I had to walk half a mile to the train.  Chicago winters are for the birds, man.  Also, the sun sets at what feels like 3:30 pm - which starts to become VERY depressing.

The bad weather in Kansas only sucks because you can't do the great things that you can do when it's hot out.

Dlew I love your zeal but you often seem bewildered when people dislike the blazing heat of summer. Do you perhaps have poor circulation or a medical condition that makes you less sensitive to the oppressive heat of Midwestern summers?

I went w/the latter because otherwise it just comes down to if you especially love/hate hot or cold.  The latter is more WAR.

I mean I love all the summer stuff. Baseball and cookouts and boats and all of it. However the average daily discomfort for me on a blazing hot day makes me just plain miserable.

August 2013-2014-2015-2016 (rally mantis!) and even 2017 were more fun than normal because the Royals were good. August 2018 looks like a forecast of boringville heatsburg USA. Population CF3

It's great. Our best months are unquestionably June-Sept though... It can suck for a couple days in July/August if it hits the 90's, but generally that four month stretch is glorious

Disagree. I'll take the heat walk anyday. Winter isn't horrible if it's just cold bit mix in wind and any precip....the worst.
