Russia doesn't have any real intellectual property beyond military stuff, so China doesn't have much they want to steal from them.

Also I don't really have much of a problem with this, no reason for farmers to go broke just because they voted for an idiot that destroyed their livelihood.

Your focus worked dax. We are now on the same side. Great job by you!

Why don't you care about spending any longer is a better lingering question.

Actually I do care.

But let's look at the narrative.   It's quite clear that LibDerp Nation would much prefer an administration which doesn't do jack crap while the Chinese run all over us (see your guys administration for example).   In the efforts to change the geo-strategic/economic mindset of a burgeoning super power that has built it's economic might (and also on meteoric rise to becoming the worlds biggest polluter, if they're not there already) on the back of intellectual property theft from the United States etc. etc. etc.   Some pain points are going to have to be undertaken.

Apparently you haven't heard of the China 2025 initiative nor the belt and road initiative, in essence Xi and friends are hell belt on achieving those objectives by any means possible.    China is also a direct threat (more than ever) to our Pacific Rim allies, and now they're doing things like buying up all the strategically important ports in Australia.   To the point that one political party in Australia is essentially saying that China is positioning itself to control these ports so they can, at some point in the future, if need be, land significant military assets in Australia.   Australia is hard place for the United States Military to get to.

That doesn't even get into China's growing hyper aggressiveness in protecting what they deem as their Intellectual Property under the auspices of an extremely liberal interpretation of what they consider their IP.

Etc. etc. etc.
