"Gundy thinking about it overnight":  read - Gundy's soliciting a counter offer from OSU hoping it's close enough so he doesn't have to spend the rest of his coaching years putting up with Curries crap.

I thought that when this happened with Gundy two years ago they did what Mizzou did to Mike Anderson and they said they wouldn't renegotiate his contract again.

Interesting take. I'd suspect Leavitt interviews for the HC role in that scenario.

If this chain of events were to happen quickly enough Oregon could try to bring back Frost too. Doubtful he’d take it but you never know

He's going to Nebraska but why wouldn't he go to Oregon, that's a very good job

Give me Schiano in that scenario. They have similar head coaching resumes, and they had similar jobs at the same time. I do think USF is an easier place to win with the built in recruiting base and the easier admissions. Probably not better enough to matter very much though.

I give Schiano the advantage because of his NFL ties and the fact that he's worked under Urban Meyer and Bill Belichick. He's also younger.

They even have similar warts. The biggest difference is that Schiano has never been accused for choking a kid. All of his issues occurred in the NFL and it sounds like he was doing that bullshit that college coaches but he did them with pros, which obviously doesn't work with men with leverage.

Gundy had a high chance of failing in the SEC.  Last thing he wants is to suck for 3 years, get fired, and end up at a place he doesn’t want to be.

What's up with Currie going to Dallas for his coaching searches?

Manhattan Regional Airport air service keeps getting better and better with those American Eagle flights. Currie probably flies from Knoxville to Chicago to take advantage of flights into Manhattan and routed to Dallas.

$7 million wasn’t gonna cut it. Probably could have gotten there for $8+ with a good chunk of it guaranteed, but you just know Currie couldn’t bring himself to piss away that kind of money, even in a situation like this.

What, Currie's offer to Gundy? Or Gundy's raise from T. Boone & Co.?
