You can buy and sell on coinbase until Jan 18th. Kraken and Binance US are still trading it going forward as well.

You're probably right. But maybe a better answer for me is to not invest in things I don't understand. It's amateur investing. But it's ok, I'm not in very deep and if either xrp or btc goes ape crap through the roof then great.
