Interesting article and I agree with Peter. There’s nothing wrong with being centralized but I’m more interested in the decentralized kind of network. One of XRP’s core devs has like a 10 tweet response to this and he didn’t seem happy.

i still think LTC has the best long term viability as a payment network, but i want to pump and dump ripple for a big pay day. I do think Ripple the company is taking an approach that will have better short term success because these big banks aren't going to go quietly into the night and let truly decentralized blockchains take all their lunch money.

Thought up this idea last night trying to sleep....create an LLC to own all crypto...when cash in, get the tax advantage of the pass through in Trump's plan....

Haven't done much digging on tax plan details to see if it would work.

With some of the recent ETH noise it makes sense that a direct ETH competitor would gain traction. From the little research I have done on it that's exactly what it is, a platform to build smart contracts on. Instead of being developed mainly from the brain of a legit wunderkind in Vitalik it's based more on proven research. Interesting to see where it goes, given that LiteCoin and Bitcoin are currently working on layer 2 smart contracts(which is basically what LN is).

On the XRP front I think CoinBase is really close to enabling trading, which I said a few pages ago. However with that article I posted a few days ago I think they will wait a little longer before they release. They have always been on the 'safe side' with cryptos launching and want to make sure they are working. With how centralized XRP is that may delay the role out. That being said CoinBase was extremely careless with the Bcash roll out so we'll see.

So I know sometimes I post and assume everyone 'gets it' with some of the technical stuff. I know crypto on a technical level is very hard to 'get' if you don't understand merkle trees, SHA256, Scrypt, etc. So, I will try and post more about that on a normal person level, because at the end of the day we won't expand unless we get the general public involved more.
