I cannot imagine him getting any jail time. I have no legal reason for that obviously. just seems not irl. either biden pardons him or he dies before this thing drags out. he's very clearly guilty AF of federal prison crimes as well as non-federal prison crimes but I just can't picture it in my head irl.

He Could win. It’s not hard to see how, the GOP base is devoid of reality based thinking so they’re all in, and the Press will both sides  everything to equate Biden = Trump. This gives a 3rd party candidate wasted votes that otherwise would’ve went to Biden or people will stay home. This reduces the margin he needs to win by a few percentage points which likely swings the electoral college to him a la 2016 style.

I can't imagine him going to prison. But I also couldn't imagine him being criminally charged or actually on trial before either of those things happened.

What happens if he gets convicted but not sentenced before the election or inauguration? Can you be President and be in federal prison at the same time or do you just pardon yourself and come out of prison to be President. This should have all been taken care of with impeachment rather than leaving it to the judicial system.

afaik there are no restrictions against pardoning yourself.  only federal crimes though, has he been charged with a state crime yet (not including the ny porn stuff)?
